I actually felt the exact same way when I first tried them (at DF, in fact), but the second time I tried them, they felt a lot better. The SDZ is, IMO, still way too high a rise. The LDB only really feels it if you've gotten used to the super low stuff of the last few years. After my 7s, Diesels, Earnest Sewn, Acnes and Nudie SSDS, they felt high. However, higher rise is coming back, and the LDB is, like the OP said, very comfortable. I'm now adicted, as everyone can tell, but it does take some getting used to.Originally Posted by DGP

yah i'll probably go back again and try them out. i was just surprised that the rise would be higher than my 501 repros. even then, the jeans were very comfortable, and I liked how the button fly deformed very naturally, which made the rise much more bearable when seated.
