As some of you know I live in Houston, and I go to Mexico often.
Primarily to the border. But I've been to many of the tourist spots ( Acapulpo, Puerto Vallarta, Cozumel, Cancun ) as well as Monterrey and Guadalajara too.
I love the Mexican people and I think it's a great but poor country.
Today, I saw this happened in Acapulco. Granted no tourists were killed but Acapulco is extremely important to Mexico's tourism industry. I've already vowed to stay away from the DF, Mexico City, because of random kidnappings.
Would you go to Mexico these days as a tourist or do you think it's just too dangerous?
