The boots are nice, but I personally wouldn't wear the derbies with denim. Denim is clearly casual wear, and for some reason I think of black shoes as business attire. Tomorrow night I when I go out 90% of the male population will be wearing denim and black leather loafers. Black is just a little pedestrian with jeans - not that the derbies aren't nice shoes.

I can't imagine either of those shoes with True Religion jeans, probably mostly because I'm imagining the gigantic white stitching and "boot-cut" borderline bell bottom finish on them, and it's throwing off the fact that both of those shoes are nice on their own and would look great with nicely fitting dark, raw denim instead.

I believe i've seen some TR jeans that are more standard style. In other words they don't have a ton of distressing, wide bell bottom legs and wacky designs on the arse,

I assume that the jeans are a sunk cost at this juncture but last I checked you can get a pair of A.P.C. New Standards for around the same cost as True Religions. I can't help but feel that for the same cost a pair of crisp dark jeans would work a lot better with these shoes and in general. Again, just for future consideration.

I think the brown Chukka boot style would work fine with your Jeans. Definitely, not the black dress shoes, unless you are wearing a coordinated sports jacket with the Jeans.

I like them best with the boots.

Best regards,
