Wooden hangers causing yellow discoloration on my shirt collars; should I use metal?

The only similar issue I have had was when I hung the shirts on the wooden hangers to dry, straight out of the washing machine. I now keep some plastic hangers by the dryer and then put them on wooden hangers after ironing with no issue that I've noticed yet.

I've had this happen today with a wooden IKEA hanger, I had a wet shirt on it and the hanger ever so slightly stained it. Got a bunch of good plastic hangers.

I have wood ones and never had that issue...however I am sending my shirts out for cleaning
