Doesn't look too bad.
It looks somewhat bulky like the RW GT though.

I'm going to say that they run about 1/2 size large. My brother-in-law liked my GTs but he wears a size 15 (probably closer to a 14.5 if such a size were available, but he can sometimes get into a 14 shoe). When I saw the 1000 Miles were available up to 14 I put in a pre-order for him from Crane's. He got them a few weeks back and loves them. They fit perfectly (often the 14s he can wear are a close fit) and he says he will be able to get a winter sock in there with no problem. I'd say definitely size up a half size if you have to roll the dice on line, but you are better off trying them on.

They are for sure less bulky than the GT, but still a far cry from sleek.

Great service from Crane's, sorry Wolverine screwed you over so badly.

Although i haven't seen them in person, but i will before i purchase, the 1k toe box doesn't look nearly as bulbous as the RW GT. I just could not deal with such a bulbous toe -- it was just very unbecoming..

Okay, I was going to boycott these, but for only $20 more than Katahdins...

I can't decide between rust and brown. I might get the rust and see how they darken up with polish - stock they're a bit bright for me, I think.

I posted about these on sufu. I had never purchased anything from papashoes before but I saw that they were selling them as 3rd party on Amazon. I decided to email them to check on availability and they mentioned in their response that once you register they will send a 10% promo code. I purchased them a week ago and they arrived in about 4 days. I have the rust boots. So far I have no complaints. They fit well and the leather is soft. The toe is a little bulbous but it doesn't bother me at all. I can't say I'd spend $325 for these, but for $170 they are great.

How is the sizing? Some say 1/2 big like Red Wing, would you agree?

I really want to order a pair and the pricing at PapaShoe.com is great but their returns are for store credit only and if for some reason I didn't like them I don't think they would have much else I want.

These look great. Supposedly have two checks in the mail, so I'm going to order a pair this weekend if papashoes still has any 11.5. Will update with sizing.

Man, I was going to get Katahdin's for beating, but after the 10% this deal is too ridiculous. I hope the size down 1/2 works out.

For $170, these are pretty much exactly what I'm looking for. I just can't decide on the color.

Out of the Rust and Brown, which do you think would be best for wearing with black outerwear/coats? Sometimes possibly navy also.
