With extra material, can a tailor add size to suit pants thigh/crotch area?

Gents,

So I ordered a made-to-measure suit and it's 90% perfect except the upper thigh/crotch area is just a bit too tight to the point where I have to suck in just a bit to button the trousers and can't really squat.

So this raises my question: If I ask the company to send me a few feet of extra material, can a tailor theoretically make this kind of alteration if the material is available? --- Just trying to see because if it's possible I can just get a bit extra sent to me and if not I'd obviously return the suit.

Let me know what you all think.

They have to add a gusset at the crotch. It can be done. Not the ideal fix (a remake of the trouser is best) but would work.
