I apologize if someone more vigilant has already noted this auction but its banal and at the same time fascinating that the bid is so high... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws....76&rd=1

I'm guessing that people want to copy them. They look like a nice cut.

Is there something about the provenance of this pair of underwear that we don't know?

Since it was bought in the 80s, I can only guess that there are collectors out there who want it.

especially since there are sixteen bids on it already. Gross. I feel like I need to go take a shower just for viewing that auction.

Now there are 17 bids. Very odd. I should note though that Paul Stuart briefs are made of incredibly soft cotton and are far, far nice than ordinary Jockey's, etc.
