it seems like 99% of their product and designs are both tacky and poorly made.

i really don't know for sure, maybe it is really high quality stuff but it seems insanely popular.

i follow nicky diamonds on snapchat, dude has made a fortune.

You're talking about Diamond Supply Co. the skating company, right?  If that's the case, there is nothing high quality about it.  It's no better than Matix, RVCA, DC, or any other skate clothing brand.  Nothing wrong with that stuff, but definitely not high quality clothing.

As for why it's successful....good marketing strategy?  I don't know to be honest.  Why was (is) a brand like DGK successful?  Tons of suburban white kids skating around with DIRTY GHETTO KIDS shirts that had never seen a ghetto.  Diamonds...ghettos....maybe it's just kids wanting to pretend they are something they aren't.  I can tell you that their (Diamond) griptape is pretty good...so I'm not mad at them.

oh really. i dk, i just thought there had to be more to it than JUST marketing. reason being, there are lines around the block any time new merchandise drops. you see this with NIKE but that is obviously in another stratosphere.

and its not like this is fly by night, diamond has been super popular for years now. seems that if it was garbage it would fall off eventually (you don't see any of those other skate brands anywhere near this level).

anyway, following the guy on snapchat, seems he lives the life. rolls royces, rolexes, etc. must be doing OK for himself.
