    I understand how influential he was, but I still can't get into his stand-up. He was incredibly grating to me.

    I think the writers/creators of shows or acts like It's Always Sunny..., Upright Citizen's Brigade, Metalocalypse, Frisky Dingo, Venture Bros etc. are all hilarious and gifted and I appreciate what they do more for some reason. I have seen some great stand-up on stage and on FunnyOrDie.com but it doesn't appeal to me as much. Does my question make more sense now? Are they in completely different columns or are they all in the same category of comedy to you?

    No it makes sense now. Sort of like, I like Chris Rock, Richard Pryor & George Carlins stand up but I like the writers from Family Guy, right?

    Oh add anther one for Kevin James, "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff".
