Fred - Yes, the Drake's cotton Tango Dance steps thingy.

Whnay - Do you mean that the overlap is too broad and button stance too high, so there is too little shirt front showing? That was intentional, and I have tried for a lower button stance on subsequent DB's, but somehow I still prefer this one.

Manton - Yes, my unbuttoned waistcoat does let me down.

I see - well as long as you like it Ethan. I don't care for it myself.

This thread is great and has convinced me to make my first attempt at posting photos on styleforum; apologies for the poor photography skills. I'll try to do better with the iphone camera next time. The shirt is pale pink, not white. Criticism/comments much appreciated, though I will note in advance that a pocket square would be over-the-top for my schedule today. Can see why you like this ethan, you wear it well. I Like the vertical and horizontal spacing of the buttons but not everyone can wear this configuration because of how high the overlap gets and how little shirt and tie show. It's a sort of "city" look. I do the same spacing with the center button a bit lower and expand the vertical spacing to the top two buttons. If these lapels are 4 1/4", I would add some and make them 4 1/2"
