Hi,

Any advice for a tie color/style for a navy and grey vest combo ? Or do I go with the grenadine tie shown in the picture ? Is this color versatile enough for use with other color suits ? Thanks.

What would be the difference between these 2 (besides the fact the one the right is darker ;)) ? I'm leaning towards the one on the right. But unluckily it is unavailable on the website I got this picture from... Anyone have an affordable(=< 55 euro) source for grenadine ties in Europe ?

That looks good on burgundy.

Regarding the differences, first tie is knit, those are made on modified vintage machines originally engineered to knit the cuffs of the sweaters (I have been told)

The second is silk grenadine or garza as it´s called on Italy.

Check out this different, newer wave of grenadine made with the same machine as the second pic you posted, also modified vintage looms.

It won't be the kind of quality that SartodiNapoli produces, but this seems to meet your criteria re price and colour http://www.ctshirts.com/uk/navy-sil...Y_2SMpW1Xp74H2spgaAgnpEALw_wcB&marketing=true

The burgundy color is a great choice. Grenadine is an appropriate choice for a wedding suit, but a more standard silk would be more versatile for other purposes.
