OK, so my mom needs more present ideas, and I'm going to have her get me a Shaggy Dog from Press. I can't decide on the color, so I'm asking SF to help me out. 1.) Silver.

2.) Lichen.

#1 is clearly too modern (dare I say young?) for you.

#2 is the best for you to keep with your grandpa style

Dear Countess Mara:

I am likin' the lichen.

Cheers.

I voted lichen. objectively speaking I like the color orange, but it's too popular now. last night I saw 2 guys sitting at a coffee shop, one had a bright orange polo, the other had a bright orange v neck sweater. they looked like they worked for Sunny Delight Deliveries

I understand that this thread is for purposes of poking fun of at Connemara and others, but can anyone speak to the quality/fit of these sweaters?

I suppose I prefer 2 in the abstract, but I'd try for something that expands or plugs a hole in your existing wardrobe. If you already have two other sweaters in the brown/rust range for example, you might want to go with something else.

Well, I just realized I can get a MTM hand-made Shetland (from the Shetland Isles) for like an extra $25. So I might get it in this color:

This is nice:

So is this:

I guess I'll just get the first one. Light grey is a great color for a sweater, and I don't currently have any. I wanted salmon but my mom doesn't understand Trad and thought it was too gay

As I recall the pictures of you, your coloring when sober is rather fair, so I'd recommend a dark gray like the last Shaggy Dog.

The grays and navy don't show-off the characteristic Shaggy Dog texture very well. I'd go with the Lichen.

These are poor substitutes for the elusive pink shaggy dog.

If my first order turns out well, that's what I'll be getting next.
