And I'll settle for some silk blazers? Where can I find silk blazers? Thanks!

I have a silk suit. It's a pretty strong choice (esp. since mine is a sharply cut DB) and noticeably different to wool, so others will notice there's something unusual about your suit. But for a bit of fun, why not?

Hope you find one you like.

Lovely. A cream/off-white DB dupioni suit has been an item on my bespoke list ever since I saw the photo of Prince Charles in one in Dressing the Man.

I found a dupioni silk suit made by Oxxford (Radcliffe model with peak lapels) at Filene's Basement in Boston last Summer. It's cream with a herringbone weave. I was very disppointed that I couldn't find the trousers, since I could wear them as separates, but they did discount the price and I now have a dupioni silk odd jacket. IIRC, it is marked as a "sample" and since I wear a 40L, I suspect it was made for a fashion show and somehow found it's way to Filene's. I also believe it may have some linen in the weave, but the fabric tag doesn't tell the composition.

I so rarely see silk suits that I suspect custom is the way to go.

Edit: Matt, I don't see any slubs on your jacket. I thought that slubs are the characteristic feature of dupioni silk and give it it's casual air.

Keeping a white/cream silk or linen suit clean is like being a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. Good luck, Matt.

I love dupioni blazers, but am not sure I could pull off a full suit. That one looks nice though!

I'm not sure I can either. I've had mine for over a year and not worn it yet. On the upside, it stays mighty clean that way.

So you allow peer pressure to dictate your style?

You should tell those people that they are fools of the highest caliber.

I have a white blazer too. I wore it once and it got dirty.

It is slubby. You can't see it well in the overall pic, but if you look near the breast pocket, you do. In real life it is very slubby.
