I've purchased 3 through GoDaddy as well but host elsewhere on both the webpage and the email side. It's not bad for that.
I appreciate your recognition that I am much more like the Fresh Prince than Carlton, RJ. Thank you.
(Note, I try not to interact with him at all anymore.)
So, I didn't think it was but apparently my URL (area5.com) is taken. It brings me to one of those generic, "oops, you entered the wrong URL" search pages. Here is the whois info: http://who.godaddy.com/WhoIs.aspx?do...rog_id=godaddy I do not know the internets. What do I do now?
Get it at the cheapest place (Godaddy is often cheapest). Do NOT search for domain names at just any random site. I'm still trying to figure out which site it was where I searched for a bunch and the next day, some of them were registered by Network Solutions and I had to pay them $30 for the one I wanted. I know they have a bunch of different shill sites whose purpose is to log searches and then they steal the good ones if you don't register it right away. Also, I wouldn't host anything with Godaddy, I've heard some pretty bad stories about their support.

If I "backorder" it on GoDaddy, should I conceivably get it?
