Trunk Sale / Made to Measure Event still taking place in Houston Galleria BB. 20% off.

Decided to get 2 custom shirts made.

1) Classic (Blue) OCBD with flap pocket. Everything else was standard I guess
2) Pink Royal Oxford Ainsley collar with mitered cuffs, no pockets on the chest

I think they came out to $140 each. 4-5 weeks for delivery.

A bit of a splurge for me (I usually hold out for the semi-annual 3 for $$) but I picked two that I'm sure I will wear at least twice a month in my current rotation and will have specific details I haven't been able to find in stores.

Some of my more tattered looking OCBDs will be retired to weekend wear.

Definitely worth paying a bit of a premium to get exactly what you want sometimes. Both sound like great shirts.

Thanks, I know I'm just getting my feet wet going this route. The guy ahead of me was getting 30 shirts made.

I am in the market for a half-canvassed suit for an upcoming research conference in Geneva next February, and Brooks Brothers is running a 20% off MTM sale on their website until October 11th. I am interested in getting a Fitzgerald. So with the 15% off with opening a new credit card, it'd come out to be $440. Should I go for this deal, or will a better deal pop up later in the year?

What do you guys think about this sport coat? The fabric is pretty nice & thick which explains the higher cost even compare to other "Own Make" jackets. Tempted to get this on CIS in 2 weeks but price is still pretty steep compare to other BB sport coat I have that are made in China & Thailand.

It's kind of a strange pattern. But I am a fan of the own make line of SCs and suits.

I presume they're made at the Southwick factory hence why it's called "Own Make"? I know that Southwick seemed to get some negativity on SF compare to say their Italian made jackets but I guess it has to be better quality than the ones made in their China/Thailand factories.
