When are creased pants ok?

I bought a pair of gray, flat front, cotton pants to wear to work. I didn't like the sharp creases on the front and back but I thought I could remove them by washing or ironing. I thought wrong. I was able to flatten the crease most of the way but it's still quite noticeable. So now, is there anything wrong with these pants being creased? Should I return the crease to it's previous depth?

Is my question difficult to answer? Is it so ignorant that no one wishes to lower themselves by answering it?

here, I'll make something up if it'll make you feel better, because I'm not really sure what you're looking for.

If they're flat-front, then you should definitely be able to remove the crease from them since it isn't in the nature of the pants. Perhaps a cleaner could do it if you can't get it to work. Other than that, check the tailor.

It is unlikely that you will be able to remove the crease without ruining the pants. The crease is put there during the manufacturing process, and the fibres are bent and broken into that conformation, as stated in an earlier post. If you want uncreased pants, your best bet is to buy them than way.

Why would you not want the creases?

It is a very silly question if you want an answer between the eyes. Maybe you should interpret why everyone has ignored you but to avoid you being too disappointed...

Trousers are normally worn with a crease and in manufacture that norm is followed - hence you will not be able to change them. If you want to try then do so but this is one convention that is universally followed and those whose trousers are without creases will be regarded as scruffy could not care less individuals. Harsh but that is life.

Keep the creases, you'll look like a slob without them...

For work? Keep the crease. It looks much sharper.

For causal wear, no crease is fine, though a crease can work as long as you're not wearing jeans.

By now he's probably replaced these trousers ... I mean pants ... several times.

But lets be real ... trousers without creases? What will 'they' want next?

You will notice David letterman has no crease in his suit trousers. Very unusual. Problem the op is having is due to the trouser being cotton. Creases in cotton trousers are nearly impossible to remove without notice.

Why you want remove the crease it looks good , Ok if you want to remove than rather than giving your effort go to tailor and tell him to do some altering, this will be a easy and simplest way to remove the crease.
