With summer approaching, I'm looking to stock up on some new polos. Recently, I've been a Lacoste fan. I like the feel of the fabric, and they have sizes that fit me (6"0", 235#). However, I thought I would see what else is out there. I used to wear Brooks Brothers too, but the new performance fabric is garbage. Drake's are very nice, but expensive. Spier & Mackay's are a little snug. Ralph Lauren's sizes and fits don't quite work for my body.

What brands are you guys wearing? Anything else worth looking into?

I really like my Kent Wang polos for a “basic” polo. No logo, double-layer collar (like a real shirt) that has more body and shape to it than the cheap single-layer collar in most polo shirts, and very durable. They do run small though. I size up one.

Sunspel is a classic but I don’t have any myself.

It's a shame nothing they sell goes up to my size (even if I dropped my covid pounds 😂)

@Kent Wang , you have an inclusive sizing issue.

Lands End has nice polos. I am not sure they are fancy enough for most people who ask for fashion advice on Styleforum, but I find them nice as I don't particularly look for high-end polos. I've worn enough to say they are nice looking and stylish, though.

They also make in big men's sizes and smaller men's sizes, so whether you're short or tall, thin or fat, you can usually get a nice fit.

Once I bought my first Sunspel, there was no going back to anything else. I have some others in the closet, but all future purchases will be Sunspel.

Will say the same thing about Sunspel t-shirts.
Didn’t try their polos as I already have a huge collection of plain Perrys, and a few Smedleys.

I prefer "knitted" polos. Have two ribbed merino (short sleeves) ones from John Henric which I like a lot, but only really useful in spring, like now. Also the buttons are ugly and I have to get around changing them.
Besides that, I want to get some old-fashioned "bolder" Italian knitwear (like those made famous by the Riplley film), for which I'm looking into Gran Sasso and Connection knitwear, currently.

Smedley looks vey nice, but is a little out of my price range.
Perry look promising.
Smedley has extra sales from time to time. Their polo price would go down to around $100-ish. Still pricey tho. Also the sea-island cotton feels amazing, but certainly needs extra care.
I recently found Asket polo really comfy. But their size only go up to XL, which is about XXL fro KW.
Todd Snyder also has some funky ideas about polo shirts like jersey or, knitted cloth, and different patterns, which I enjoy a lot.
