I'm listening to Morrisey's albums, good stuff.

I was (and still am) a big Smiths fan. I liked "Viva Hate" and the "Bona Drag" compilation, but not too much else in his solo career. Morrissey & Johnny Marr needed each other. Marr did some cool stuff with The The, but nothing approaching the Smiths.

I still like his lyrics they have this literary flaunt and I like that, his somewhat ironic approaches...some of his new songs remind me so much of the smiths (I 100% agree with you on that, together they were better) like "I am hated for loving" reminds me so much of Unlovable (probably my favorite song by them) and that's just one example...

That DJ Shadow album was a revelation when it came out in the '90s. Still one of my favourites of all time.

I still can't believe I didn't hear that when it came out. I was listening to somewhat similar stuff (at least to me) like Aphex Twin and Roni Size at the time. Well, better late than never. For me this afternoon:
