Watched Batman Begins. How come the microwave emitter thingy vaporizes all water reservoirs, yet doesn't affect the human body? Other than that, and I'm sure a few other irregularities, a good movie.

Then, This Is 40. Alright. Knocked Up was better.

Side Effects. Watch it. Plot was a little far-fetched but the movie was very satisfying.

Exactly! That was such an enormous plot hole! I mean, I know I'm supposed to suspend disbelief and all, but there's no way he'd have gotten to management in that suit!

    This is true.

For me to invest in the movie it needs to seem believable and this movie was not. Plot holes on their own are not uncommon, but this many plus bad execution of scenes made it impossible to watch the movie and I sat there after about a half hour starting to doubt it could be this badly constructed. Case in point:

I mentioned that scene where they left the stock exchange and it was daytime, there is a chase and they enter a tunnel (daytime) and then suddenly exit a moment later and its night

I noticed it instantly and sat there for a moment trying to understand how such a massive continuity fail could happen. I popped out of the story and after a few more of these it became impossible to suspend disbelief and I was out.

With TDKR its more than plot holes. This movie suffered from sheer stupidity. Another case in point:

That hokey fight scene between the cops and the bad guys

This scene was shit because of execution, not plot. There were better ways to make that scene work.

Look I get that nobody sees a movie like this to appreciate film making but they should also be accountable when they can't pull it off. I do go in understanding the genre on display, but there are limits.

The fight scene at the end between cops and Bane's guys, and Batman's back injury and everything that went with that were the only real probs I had with the movie.

Oh yeah, biggest problem of course was that Talia and Bane's plan failed. Had Gotham blown up it would have been a much better movie.

dear people who hated TDKN. you are welcome to hate the movie. but no matter how much time you spend, and how many essay length posts you write, explaining why you thought the movie sucked ass, you are not changing the minds of the people who enjoyed it. you can keep at it, but its not really changing anything. just thought you should know.

    :)

Saw Flight this weekend, it was okay. Couldn't get my fiance to watch Paranormal Activity 4, even though we saw the first 3 together.

I remember nothing other than the fact that there was some sort of sexual scene in the beginning - and back then it was practically porn to me.

    Loved ATPM.

Did not fancy Frost/Nixon. Turned out to be a gem of a film.
