They are nice, I would like to have a pair of these shoes. I think the laces are cheap looking, but those can be changed.

no, they look good the way they are. they are just a more traditional style of lace. I think for that shoe they are perfect.

Oh I agree, they are a traditional style, and they match the color of the shoe's stitching nicely. It just appears one side is frayed and the other end looks like it is wrapped with electrical tape.
