What are the good American Shoe Makers (still producing in the USA in 2013?)

Carhartt the "workwear" manufacturer has a Made in USA Line.
The fact that is a separate category in their website implies that
other products are made abroad. It also assuages the sensitivites
of their primary market which has seen so many jobs "offshored".

Some people like to put value in things made in their country. I know if given the option of two identical items (quality, price, aesthetics), one made in China and one made in USA, then I would pick the one made in USA.

Could anyone recommend any US based small or medium footwear maker who can produce for my client? My client is a UK based company looking to sell US made footwear and based on my client's brand and designs.
