My fiancee is planning to get me a pair of Oxford shoes for our wedding.

We have narrowed it down to John Lobb, Gaziano Girling and Edward Green

The specific models are

JL: Becketts, City II, Garnier
Gaziano: Cooper, Holden
Edward Green: Chelsea

Out of these choices, the Becketts are our absolute favourites, but it will ultimately come down to fit and comfort.
I am fairly new to these brands, can someone that has worn one or more of these shoes let me know their thoughts?

For the models we have chosen, are they all suitable to wear for a wedding (as the groom)?

I will get a much much better idea once I get to see these in person and try them on, but I wanted to know a bit more about them before making a decision on purchase.

Thanks

I am also wondering if anyone has worn any of these shoes to their own wedding? Are they deemed formal enough to match a tuxedo?

In general, I am a great fan of JLP and have two pairs of City II which I love and frequently wear to both work and morning dress weddings.

For my own wedding however, I went for an EG Carnegie (82 last) as a it was a black tie event.

I would always go for patent leather shoes with black tie and can very highly recommend the EG Carnegie.

I guess my reply is now way too late, but I would be interested which model you went for and what your experience is.
