Wearing flowers in your lapel hole

I've taken to wearing flowers in the lapel hole and it really works wonders on having women stop you on the street. For anyone looking to find a special lady, I'd suggest starting this practice. Do any of you wear flowers?

-What kind of flower do you wear?
-Do you just buy them at the florist?
-How do you keep the flower from wilting through the day?

It's a very high gorge- to wear the flower in the hole would perch the thing up on the shoulder. Besides, it's a flannel flower and you're put off by the buttonhole? Sheesh.
