Hello.. i am new here and I tried searching for a forum that answers the question which i am about to ask. Due apologies if i missed the appropriate forum.. I am looking for a watch to go through daily grunt work of sweaty wrists and accidental brushing with hard surfaces. Where i live, normally temperatures would rise to more than 43 degrees in the summer so you get the idea right. I am a student therefore there are some natural constraints on my wallet. I am looking for a watch under USD 50-60.. i can stretch it $70 but of course that would mean having to save more money. I was looking at some basic models of G Shock series and G Shock DW 9052 - 1V seemed a decent option. I would love anyone's output on this watch. I am completely open to suggestions.

Thanks :)

Welcome to the forum, Shoa. If you are just looking for a watch that can take a beating and aren't too worried about its looks, that's not a bad choice. It will definitely last you through college. Best of luck!

Does it have to be digital?

If you want to try an automatic, I would suggest the Seiko 5.
