Both items sold.

First, Allen Edmonds Steen loafers - 9.5D - Black - Length: 12.25" - Width: 4". Split toe. Great looking shoe on the sleakest last I've seen AE do. Extremely comfortable and great for casual or office wear. Worn maybe about 10 times, so there's visible creasing in the vamp. Otherwise, in fantastic condition. These will be cleaned and polished before sending out.

These are something like $230 new. I'd like $45 shipped.

Advice to sellers: don't trash your (potential) customers' clothes or goods to try to sell your stuff. Poor form.

I like my new 649 and they're absolutely not garbage compared to my vintage Ratti ones

Thanks for the bump, but no one's trashing customer goods here. It was a colloquial comparison for the sake of justifying a higher asking price. I'm sure your new Persol's are just dandy.

Are you sure these are made out of genuine tortoise shell? Or were you implying that the glasses were genuine Persol?

I don't think Persol ever used real tortoise shell; most mass producers didn't really.

I'm not an expert by any means, but I think that genuine tortoise shell would cost much much more. I would guess a couple thousand maybe more. Maison Bonnet offers them (custom made of course!).

LabelKing - just wondering about your location, are you Greek? Maison reportedly was made Onassis' trademark shades.

On topic - I have these shoes and they are great with jeans and when it's raining out. They do not look as bulky as some AE and are on the #8 last. Ahh, I see they sold already!

Yes, genuine tortoise shell has always been a luxury material and they are a rare material; I like it very much.

No, I'm not Greek but do like Onassis's glasses. His sunglasses were also made by Pinton of France.
