Man nobody is, seen a post about them on buy and sell forum from like 10 years ago. Dude said their like a middle of the pack brand. Found these at a thrift a city over. I enjoy them.I'm not familiar with that brand.
J&M was one of the best, and not just for the Handmades. Great lasts, leathers and top notch finishing was the order of the day.
Oh yeah, and those Handmades. View attachment 1483789 ..

Not 10.5, nor close to an E, so back the the cupboard! Please either put them away in a cupboard or delete the post
I think it’s wildebeest.I'm contemplating buying these Footjoy golf shoes, removing the spikes, and adding Toppys to the soles. What sort leather is the toe caps and saddles, though? It looks sorta, I dunno, stripey?

I found some JM Handmade alligator cap toes on Ebay. They were wonderful and came in an original box and bags IIRC. Sadly, they were too tight and I could not wear them. I rest easy in the thought that they are safely in the @madhat closet and being looked after correctly.
eBay has three pairs of this brand currently, a size 7 and a couple 10s.Man nobody is, seen a post about them on buy and sell forum from like 10 years ago. Dude said their like a middle of the pack brand. Found these at a thrift a city over. I enjoy them.
Thanks, I never knew it was a regency. I was into vintage shoes for awhile and found several pair over the years, never in my exact size though. Might pick up the hunt again after about a 10 year break...once I get on with some downsizing.Absolutely gorgeous !
This is called the "Regency" wingtip.
Still looking for a new/mint condition "Handmade 100", it's probably my holy grail as far as vintage shoes go.
I was able to find few pairs over the years, but they're pretty rare at this point.
Wow, sounds impressive! Any pics?I found some JM Handmade alligator cap toes on Ebay. They were wonderful and came in an original box and bags IIRC. I have those in black, they are solidly built.Today it's Sears shoes made by Hanover. These are heavy and solidly built. I really need to take them to the cobbler for a good cleanup but they're super comfortable and tempting to wear. Size 12E. "Sears, Sears, Sears, where America shops for value" In fact, now that I look at myself, I'm wearing Sears brands from head to toe: wristwatch (Structure), shoes, socks (Craftsman), shirt (David Taylor), jeans (Basic Editions). As the song says, "I'm wearing all my favorite brands, brands, brands, brands" View attachment 1484127 View attachment 1484130
