definitely more formal than the service bootSo anyone here who owns the halkett boots. It’s a casual boot right?
Well Viberg cancelled the unmade sizes of the Brown Comipels. I'm not even surprised at this point.
per their site, their service boot pattern is roughly 54 years old. they need to ditch that already! They also just told me today that, no, they will no bring back the 145. LOL It's "in the past." I tried, man!
I'm looking for a pair of all black leather boots (horsebutt or cxl) that I can wear with denim (black, grey, indigo) & that i can wear with more upscale outfits (no business casual or formalwear at all) -- think Stephan Schneider, Camoshita, Lemaire, Dries Van Noten.definitely more formal than the service boot
as much as viberg is concerned, it’s one of their most formal. i think it might be able to straddle both stylesI'm looking for a pair of all black leather boots (horsebutt or cxl) that I can wear with denim (black, grey, indigo) & that i can wear with more upscale outfits (no business casual or formalwear at all) -- think Stephan Schneider, Camoshita, Lemaire, Dries Van Noten.
Do you think the halkett would suit that objective, or would they look out of place with the denim? I've never owned "dress boots or shoes", and I don't wear business casual or formal clothes ever.

The laced boot options now are Service boot, halkett, country boot, wholecut boot and derby boot. I think a chelsea would probably best suit your needs, but the 2050 last is a bit tricky. If you a cap toe service boot, how about a plain toe one, or vice versa? Or try a new last?Ok, do you recommend any other boot silhouette from Viberg that might be a little more casual (not service boot -- I don't like owning more than 1 pair of the same silhouette of shoes)

My brown Comipel Halketts showed up when I went home for lunch. I like them quite a bit. There's almost a purple / burgundy tone to them in some lights that I'm not sure I can capture in the pictures.
@caffed - have you found this as well?

I appreciate the tip - I'm going to screw with it a bit more once I get back home. They showed up right as I was leaving to go back to the office. But ya, you're right for sure. You should tighten the bottom lace more. it will let the vamp to lay more flat.
