If you can't find a Spymaster in your size, have you considered the 2045 from Division Road? That's a cool makeup as well.

Does this boot have the same toe as the Spymasters? Anyone know if any stocklist are carrying a plain toed black waxed flesh service boot right now?

It is a plain toe...But to me, the toe turns up a bit and looks sorta like a 310 toe in a profile.

The 2045 is nowhere as nicely balanced as the 110.

But any waxed flesh is good waxed flesh.

Maybe Viberg will put out something similar to the Spymaster soon.

If anyone's looking for a Palmer Trading Company Bad Seed black waxed flesh in 10.5, let me know.

Quick poll guys. Service boots on the 2030 with cap toe. In #8 CXL or Brown CXL? Why?

TIA

Both are fine leathers. I'd say #8 CXL is more of an oxblood that "pops" a little more with denim and beige/green chinos. #8 CXL is also a little more reddish than #8 shell cordovan, which starts out quite dark, almost black, and only lightens over time.

Just picked up some natty waxed flesh service boots (my first pair of Vibergs, too!). Should I put any conditioner/preservative on 'em before wearing?

Nice.

Some re-wax after a year or so after getting beat up but for my brown waxed I did nothing and will continue to do nothing and let them age and get beat up.

I've got a pair of natty and black WF on the way from our recent GMTO and will do the same with them.

Here's how mine are looking after 6+ months.

Those look awesome! Excited to start beating mine up and breaking them in. Thanks!

Those waxed flesh are looking great. May I ask in what conditions you normally wear them? Mine see mostly office carpet on rainy days, so not as much patina.

Thanks. And sure.

All conditions. Haven't been in rain with them yet but wouldn't care.

Lots of playing horseshoes. Driving around getting nicked in the car. "Hiking" around in dirt and taller grass. Trekking around many Renaissance Festivals.

Just banging into things with no care. And wear them a lot so they break in to your feet.

It's nice wearing boots where you just don't care or think about it.

Already posted this one playing horseshoes:

Gotta share my lost&found natural cxl service boots. They are my most worn boots this past fall and winter. The leather is so thick beat my Alden indys. The patina is great, just wipe and brush.
