Got my size 11 EE Calvados today. Quick pics:

Really happy with them. They don’t look so green to me in person. They’re next to an 11.5 2030, and mostly 1035 in 11. The 11EE might feel the widest of the bunch. Unfortunately, I have no size 11 2030 for a direct comparison, but I’ll happily order any future 2030 in EE.

That's the best stitchdown stitching I've seen on shell.

In person the 1071s don’t look as brown as they do on Division Road’s site, but they’re not as gray as earlier batches. The antiquing is also darker. I also notice the toe caps are quite long(?) Overall for a gray boot, they have a lot of depth and different tones appear in every lighting condition.

Someone with better archival memory would likely have a better answer than I could come up with. My only thought is DR is a special stockist and they probably did request slightly larger cap toes AND Viberg actually accommodated them. They even are getting a shell run when there aren't supposed to be any more stockist shell runs.

They do look a little bit bigger, but I still think those cap toes look really great honestly.

Viberg confirmed my return of the color 4s. They are of course refunding me for the boots, but not refunding me for the original shipping. When I questioned them on that (why did I pay shipping to have the honor of seeing messed up boots?), they told me they still could not refund shipping but would give me $100 off my next pre order. Clearly better for their bottom line, but I guess I’ll take it.

I guess I could, but seems like a pain for $25.

If you are going to put the burden of QC on the end consumer (like so many companies do now), then you have to offer fully refunded returns. That’s some bullshit, although 100 off another preorder is better if you feel like spinning the Viberg quality wheel again.
