Just received the double Cordovan teacore boots. My only complaint is the lack of complimentary shoetrees included with the typical Cordovan order.

And if you’re like me and want to go the uniformity route, you can’t buy viberg branded trees. Nice!

Thank you! Beautiful boots. Just one question I guess. How would you describe the colour when viewed in person? I can't quite pin it down from photos. Sometimes it looks almost purpley, or brown, or grey.

Oh, it’s a weird one. The colour is those photos is pretty accurate in most lighting conditions. So it’s a dark purpley sort of colour in strong lighting. At times it can appear almost black.

The thing is, under the TPR coating it’s a very light purpley grey. If you scratch off the coating it’s pretty noticeable, and if you apply pressure or flex the leather it has almost a pull up effect because of this. The TPR coating has come off on a few places on the tongue for me, so I’ll try and grab a pic for you later today, but I’ve seen a YouTube video where the guy claimed to have worn his boots a few times and yet had scratched off most of the coating, and that really changed the appearance.

My coating seems pretty soldo though, but I’m only using them for city wear. I’m expecting I’ll scuff them one day though and I’m not sure how I’ll feel about it yet as I really like the uniform colour they are now and the contrast between the top and base coat is severe.

Caved on these after they had been sitting on ebay for almost a year. Got the owner down a bit (not enough) but whatever. I've had these burgundy GG laces for almost 4 years I think just sitting in a box.

They look great, I knew they would be heavy weight due to the thickness of leather used but they are still a bit denser than I thought they would be and the first walk with them wasn’t bad, but it definitely was not comfortable and they will take some time to wear in. Didn’t capture any pictures yet but will try to get some today. I also didn’t see any imperfections or anything but I also don’t have as critical of an eye. One oddity is the arch seems a bit higher/tighter than all of the other 2030’s I have had previously so not sure if it’s the last having changed a bit in the last year or just the way this leather sits due to the increased thickness.

Mine got delivered a few minutes ago....and....this is how they look. Someone else tell me I am wrong about not being happy with them...

What?!? People shouldn't be "Yucking" someone elses "Yum". Enjoy the boots man! Definitely an experimental leather unlikely to be seen again

Are you saying these have issues? The only thing I can see in your images is what looks like bloom. Try brushing them off.

I was expecting some level of bloom given it is unfinished, but I wasn't expecting this. And this was after brushing too...

I’d try a buffing cloth then in that case.

I don't...only horsehair. Think the stiffer bristles would help?
