Those smooth tobacco chamois are pretty cool looking. I actually bought a pair but Brooklyn Clothing had to cancel my order because *********** up their inventory or something. I did end of getting a pair of Alden x Leather Soul Vintage Indys which uses the same smooth chamois leather. Very cool leather.

Yep. One thin coat of renovateur. I like the darker color with the scuffs.

Hardly noticeable. & the leather is awesome ... last week they had an extra 25 off if you logged in... for 400 bucks, it is hard to do better ! Kangaroo leather is fantastic.

idk the sample sale is in a week, so right now $400 for some gyw Vibergs with a zipper on a gloxi sole seems pretty steep to me.

To each their own.. I can’t attend the SS in person. So everything is considered with proxy fees on top .. all I can tell you is that I love what arrived in the mail. For 400 bucks, I am happy. Leather is awesome and the zips are barely noticeable. Plus, they are casual boots to the core.

I think 400 is totally fair sample sale or not.
Last SS, in size 10, the pickings were slim. So I’m not counting on anything there.

For me, It’s more will I want to wear that pair over anything else. I’m just thinking about the zipper sitch still.

Nope, they were on Dainite. If I'd know that (which I only really would have if like, the makeup was actually supposed to be on Dainite in the first place) I wouldn't have even ordered. Basically this pair should be at the sample sale lol.

Fun fact, the first few pages of this thread (launched in 2011) are filled with people dissing Viberg. The weight, the soles they use, the price point, anything goes!

Well, here we are, 9 years ans 1832 pages later.


Quick question. The closest big city is Montreal. Where could I go do try Vibergs and get a sense of my size in their lasts?
