FSC MTO arrived this afternoon...black oil tan 110 chukkas with vibram half sole and cat's paw heel...man, they really knocked it out of the park with these! This was my grail Viberg - can't believe I finally got it done!

Jealous you got yours so early!
How does oil tan age?
May I ask how much the mark up was?
They charged me like $200 mark up for like a basic service boot

Oh baby, those are sweet. Congrats dude.

Curious about sizing. My Route 10 chukkas are my normal size but I wished I sized down .5 cause they be bigger than normal.

Did you go your normal size?

Oil tan leather is very rugged and holds up to wear better than anything else with maybe the exception of red dog. Scuffs rub out easily and it doesn't dry out very easily so it really requires minimal maintenance. I just wipe down the oil tan boots I have and they look almost new again. It's my favorite leather for daily wear. Some might find it a little pedestrian though considering all the exotic leathers out there. But it's my preference.

Mine cost about $100 more than usual, though worth every single penny. I bought two pairs actually! I need these to go the distance (long distance, lol!). Your mark up was probably higher because it's a boot versus a chukka I'm guessing.

Those chukkas are incredible and they make so much sense with that fuller fitting last. Well done!

BTW, is there a thread where people trade (rather than sell) mis-sized Vibergs? My near new service boots in size 9 (2030 of course) are too snug and would love to trade for a size 10. I realize this isn't the thread - are classifieds the only / best option?

Just so rugged and versatile! I like boots a lot, but I love chukkas!
Raneleigh. Your same size as usual?

I'm looking at your Chukka's with forlorn. I'm thinking I might wear those more than my Black Oil Tan Sinister Oxfords.

I still have to have a cobbler change the incorrect brass eyelets for antique on those puppies.

Thanks! Yes, I went with my normal size. My Route 10's might be a fraction bigger than these, but very minor difference. They are chunky for sure. Most chukkas aren't like a short rugged boot like these are.
