I'd love to see mods prohibit certain members from starting threads in the CEsspool. I don't know if that's possible. Right now the front page of CE is littered with moronic threads that make it less interesting a place to visit. I think we all know who the chief violators are.

Are you talking about the 6 threads started by Charley, or something else?

Amongst other things. AF's threads, for example, could just be replaced with a WSJ link in the affiliates' section.

Charley could have a thread called "Obama BAD!!!" and be unable to post anywhere else in the CE. I'm sure it would get a lot of hits from posters wanting to know Elvis is alive and conspiring with the Illuminati to bring about the reign of the antichrist Obama.

There should be a two-week moratorium on referring to Obama in any thread where the word "Obama" is not in the OP's post. This should reduce bandwidth costs by about half.
