I'm a big Bob Marley fan - especially his early recordings with Peter Tosh (one of the best backup vocals singer ever) and Bunny Wailer as the Wailers. (None of that overplayed Legend crap).

1. Concrete Jungle

2. Burnin' and Lootin'

3. Kinky Reggae

4. Lively Up Yourself

5. Running Away

Tough one!

-Is This Love
-Kinky Reggae
-Jammin' (what a party song)
-Could You be Loved (for sentimental reasons more than anything; still a decent song though)
-Three Little Birds

Anyone else in love with "Babylon by Bus"?

1. Soul Rebel
2. Waiting in Vain
3. Three Little Birds
4. Zimbabwe
5. Get Up, Stand Up ( kind of a cheat, because the Tosh part is the cool part)

Some good choices. I should really add Trenchtown Rock as it definitely belongs in the top 5/6.

And this is my thread so the only acceptable choices from the Legend compilation are Exodus and the original versions (not the ones on Legend) of No Woman No Cry and I Shot the Sheriff. Could you be Loved is probably the worst Marley song ever.

While the bass line is great, it's the brilliant back-up vocals of Tosh that do it for me. The interplay between him and Bob on Concrete Jungle and Slave Driver rank among the top musician collaborations of all time imo. While he became a great performer and activist later on in his career, Marley's music was never as good as at the time he played with Peter and Bunny.
