Hey, been lurking around for a while now but finally decided to join today seeing as I have a little problem that I'm a little trumped on. I've had a pair of Tod's driving shoes for a few years now, quite comfortable but incredibly impractical for walking around in the city. I was at a Tod's boutique earlier today and spotted a pair of suede loafers with a slightly thicker rubber sole (http://store.tods.com/Tods/US/categ...e-Loafers-With-Front-Tie/p/XXM0LR00051RE0S800)
I was thinking of picking a pair up for use when I'm in the city. How suitable would these be for walking on concrete? I'm slightly concerned by how thin the rubber sole is. Never owned a pair such as these so I'd really appreciate the help.
Thanks.

I woudn't advice you to buy them if you wanna " walk around the city"
As you said the sole is very thin, so you feel everything under your soles.
Are summer shoes, so you should wear them socksless even if I personally never wear shoes without sock, but even with ghost socks you'll have the same problem: pain cause of feet rubbing too much to the leather: it's easy to sweat with those shoes...plus in summer+ plus with ghost socks or socksless.
So, if you're looking for shoes to walk around in the city, these ones are not the best in my opinion.
I'd take them to go from the car to the gelateria and to sit on a bench, and then, from the bench to the car back lol:
