Thoughts on this Brown Sound jacket

I think this is pretty sweet, but I've had mixed reactions from other people I've shown it to.

I wear this hat all the time, which seems like it'd go pretty well with it.

What do you think?

That jacket is really over designed. All the little pockets, the asymmetric closure, and the contrasting fabrics? Too much, imo.

The asymmetric closure is the only thing really holding me back. I'd like to be able to wear it open sometimes. But I really like the houndstooth fabric...

Functionally, it's half-assed. Buttons tightly at the neck, doesn't seem to button at all at the sleeves. Drafteeeee.

Stylistically, jacket's awkward detailing recalls awkward detailing of the seventies in a way that does not increase my nostalgia.

Looks to be inspired pretty heavily by an A-1 flight jacket. I agree with the above - too busy.

I agree with the general consensus. The pattern on the cuffs and pockets are way too busy. If they had toned it down a little bit it would've been sweet. I actually like the asymmetry of the closure. It's the only thing that it's got going for it. The pockets on the right shoulder aren't bad, although it's got the pattern on it.

As for the hat, with that jacket, it'd be overkill.
