I'll second that one, a chara. My great-grandma constantly said the same thing...although in her final year or two, she conceeded that it wouldn't happen before she passed.

In terms of clothing-related goals...a grey bespoke three-piece with DB vest from Henry Poole is probably top of the list. I'd also like to:

Purchase a vacation home in Ireland
Visit Alaska before it's ruined
Learn French, maybe Italian as well
Finish learning Irish

I'll add more later.

Sounds like you don't dream of any golf courses unless they are on the US open rotation or are called St Andrews. To me that demonstrates an extremely shallow and parochial knowledge of the great golf courses of the world.

I grew up on the southern shore of the Firth of Forth, the greatest strip of golfing country in the world, rivalled only by the north shore of the Firth of Forth round the east Neuk to St Andrews.

I'm sure this is a foriegn language to you but you should be sorry that you don't dream of playing the local courses of East Lothian and Fife. If you had ever heard of them that is.

As it should boys, as it should.

Any fool can reel off a list of courses they saw Tiger win on in a major. Takes a bit of actual knowledge to get really into it. His list was like only having Armani and Boss in your wardrobe. Nice, but overhyped and overpriced and the quality does not always match the reputation.

My top 10 might have a little of the Armani types but would also have some Kiton and Oxxford, long standing classics that most people have never heard of, plus a couple of bespoke courses that your average Golf Channel jerk will never hear of. Too busy spending $600 on a new driver each year when he really ought to take a putting lesson.
