I'm so damn tired from looking at drawings all day, I didn't notice
I don't get why apartments like that are so expensive, you can get a brand new 80sqm here for less.
My Mac is at the repair shop, so I had to find my old pc in the basement and work from that.

There is a ton of competition for apartments in desirable areas over here...seems to have really driven prices up. If I were willing to go a little higher or have a roommate, the options would clean up a little more (lots of nice places at 1600 a month)...but I'd really not like to go above 20% of my pre-bonus, pre-tax income for straight rent (especially since none of these places include utilities and heat costs $).

And this is supposed to be a cheaper area than where I live now...everybody says it, but I sure as hell am not seeing that to be true.

This is more like a "things you don't get" post, but El Argentino's post reminded me: why on earth do people pronounce "jaguar" as "JAY-guire?" At least the artsy British pronunciation makes some sense. Until I get a satisfactory answer to my query, I am going to refer to GWAR as GWIRE. (Truth be told, I might even do that after I get a satisfactory answer.)
