This is important in the work place. A few weeks ago I smelled something about to go down via email over a miscommunication and put a stop to it immediately. Can't come across as an idiot, weak, or passive. Especially when it comes close to review time (which it is for me).
Start looking for a new job. Confront your manager tell him you want the review altered to reflect the facts. If he won't comply demand to take it to a higher level of management, and never, ever let anyone **** on you, EVER. Oh and start looking for a new job. Actually you should have already been doing this. The time to look for a new job is the day you start your current one.
