1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I'm shocked you're only at 400 posts, I would have sworn that you posted that many anti-censorship rants a day.

I just examined three months worth of bank statements. It appears that 40 to 50 percent of my monthly net income is going to bar tabs, restaurants, diners, and other wasteful food/beverage/leisure expenditures. What a freakin' wake up call. No wonder I'm always broke. Time for some changes!

Did you do your expenses analysis manually, or with a website/program? I like Yodlee, I know other people have recommended Mint. Makes things a lot easier, can see everything at a glance without having to manually enter a bunch of crap.

My wife and I hadn't been great at tracking our spending, so I finally badgered her into adding all her accounts to Yodlee. Nothing stood out when we looked at our expenses individually, but combined it turned out we were spending a lot more on certain things than we thought. Always good to pin these things down.

I know a lot of people who would do the same. My rent is 16% of monthly net. Hard to beat.

I cut the inside of my lip after biting down on a staple. (I should have known the staple was there, but it didn't occur to me at the time.)
Also, Brennetta (the cashier at the grocery store) could have been a little bit more friendly as I checked out. She just didn't have that winsome demeanor tonight.

The pack of extra-slim fitting condoms in your basket probably put her off.

I was not unfriendly, but I admit I didn't take special pains to be friendly either. I usually take my cue from the cashier.

Now wait just a gol darn minute, Fang. I bought those for you because you said you were too embarrassed to buy them yourself. And now you're gonna use it against me like that? I'm going back right now and I'm gonna tell Brennetta what's what. Don't even try to stop me because I'm doing this.

if its any consolation i get paid crap compared to the industry so 50% of a small amount isn't really that much. Its manageable but I have to budget myself and not spend a lot on things i don't need.

My biggest way to save money has been cutting back on food not that i go out a lot but peanut butter sandwich goes a long way haha I moved out of my parents place 3 months ago i don't want to know how much weight i lost already and i didn't have much to lose to begin with
