Yeah, whip stitching is typically a way of stitching two pieces of fabric together. In this case it is more ornamental, hand-stitched on the breast and pockets on the front, and on the back there is stitching into the diamond and line patterns you see. It's a calf-leather jacket and the stitching is calf leather as well.

Yeah, whip stitching is typically a way of stitching two pieces of fabric together.  In this case it is more ornamental, hand-stitched on the breast and pockets on the front, and on the back there is stitching into the diamond and line patterns you see.  It's a calf-leather jacket and the stitching is calf leather as well. 

Crazy. I'm not 100% sure I actually like it, but that's crazy.
