I think that with the new hair and all, it looks kind of 50s / James Dean-y and the higher trousers almost work.

Exactly what I was thinking. The hair, and clothes, plus the setting make him look like Lou Diamond Phillips in "La Bamba".

Really? Hmm. Maybe it's the camera angle. They just looked better than mine, which sometimes look a bit flatter when viewed straight on.

I'm not sure, they're all-white suede but it's the same suede MMM uses on the GATs so I don't think so? I'm not that familiar with all the older MMM high models I just knew that I either wanted these or the white/grey (classic) model.

I think they're a lot better than white leather/ grey suede in the HI's, look the same as mine. Obviously, in the lows I think the white/grey are the best.

Oh yup, same thing. I kinda agree - this was a bit of an opportunistic purchase as they just popped up but I don't think I'd trade for the grey.
