1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

So regarding hem length, I am kind of torn here. I previously had these hemmed higher, and I did not like the look that resulted. I had them let out an inch to where they are now.

Here is what they looked like previously:

These are chinos so I think the current (longer) length is ultimately better, but I agree with the comments that it doesn't look quite right. Not sure what, if anything can/ought to be done.

Looking a little too much like hospital scrubs in that first photo.

I dig the longer length. All the comments about the "puckering and buckling" are weird considering it's cotton and that's what cotton does. Wool trousers of the same dimensions would drape fine.

You know I kinda see what you say the tee looks like lilac color but it's actually a light blue, something did seem off to me I just couldn't figure what it was. But I guess I should change location because the phone camera seems like it's not getting the actual color.

I tried on a brand-new pair of cotton (khaki) trousers the other day, for the first time in ages -- I largely wear jeans or wool pants -- and when I saw the absurd jaggedness of the way they fell on my legs after first putting them on, I thought to myself, "if someone had years ago bid me to try on fine wool and then cotton trousers back to back, I would have understood 'drape' immediately."

Based on the textures and clearer colours in the second pic it doesn't look like it would be an issue in person, but I got a scrubs vibe from the first photo too.

in most cases i actually prefer the personality that comes from cotton's anti-drape (with pants at least)

I suspect it's anathema here, but a fuller leg would likely alleviate the pucker/buckle. As for cotton v. wool, I believe the suit pants were wool and they had a similar/worse issue. If the pants won't drape properly, perhaps they aren't the right choice with the jacket...

So upon further consideration, I think you might be onto something here. I looked at a bunch of my old photos and it does look like my right shoulder is always sitting slightly lower than my left.

It's from reaching for the shifter in that old Fiat I used to have.

So ok, I have to go to Savile Row now? [IMG]

Just put maybe nose tissue or toilet paper in your sleeve head area, and you will be fine.

What's the material on the shoes? I had some Macbeth's when I was a teenager that looked just like that.
