But see, now what do you do with your Explorer? And THIS is why I'll never buy an Explorer.

The P39, Explorer, and Speedy all fill a similar yet slightly different vibe.

The P39 is more toolish than the Explorer, which crosses into dressy territory in my experience. I've taken a break from the Explorer, but I'll come back to it before too long. I care a whole lot less about scuffing this P39 up, and I look forward to putting it on a NATO or rubber which will provide some distance between it and the Explorer.

I’m thinking of trading in my full gold sub for the two-tone sub. Tired of looking too lit in the full gold version. I’m already beautiful enough. Don’t need the extra attention.

In general, I like some two tone watches like the current and vintage GMT Master, vintage ROs, vintage Nautilus, Cartier Santos and Panthere, and some DJs. The two tone Sub, with a black dial is better than the two tone with a blue dial...but to me two tone Subs will forever scream 1980s used car salesman. It was practically part of the uniform back then. Which could be the look you are going for...in which case... Do it!




I think since you already have so many white metal sports watches, the all yellow gold Sub is a nice change and it ads something different to your collection. Wishing you lots of luck and fun with whatever you decide.

A Lange upped their prices pretty substantially - the 1815 is up ~14% and the Saxonia Thin is up ~10%

With the 1815 at $31,100 its basically in the same price range as the Patek 6119

That is just the standard lead time for the manufacturers' movement overhaul these days - be grateful you ever got it back at all!
