Not every model is suitable for full gold. For some it's a great look though.

I’m currently debating the above Day/Date, a rose gold speedmaster professional or Santos in gold or rose gold. Gold just looks better with my skin tone, but I’d be worried it is too flashy. It’s also $30k instead of 5-10k. I could get the stainless of each for the price of a single gold version. Part of me wants to be practical, another part wants to splurge a little on a celebratory watch for my new position.

Gold DD is an all-time classic. Don't think the others are worth the money.

The Day-Date is not available in steel, but surely in white gold or platinum it looks more subtle.
Different vibes, of course. Only you can decide.

All three have such different vibes. I think a gold Day-Date is peak "celebratory watch".
