260 solana might do the deposit...

How can you not get a moonswatch with all your industry connections?

Is the GA2000WM-1A streetwear cool?
I’m a peasant like everyone else.

Yes, the GA2000WM-1A is cool, any least imo. It’s not as popular as some models, like the original digital display only ones, but people, myself included, like them.

I like both of those speedies, but I can’t deny that the white gold Daytona on OF is also amazing.

So seeing these Moonswatches in HD on YouTube and such, well, they look cheap. The case and finishing is consistent with the price. How it is compared to other similarly priced watches, I'm not sure, but this case looks pretty bad.

It’s just a plastic Swatch, basically a teen or tween watch and nothing more. Why is everyone falling for the hype and getting so bent out of shape? I personally wouldn’t wear one but could see myself grabbing one for nieces and nephews.

I can't seem to get these ones out of my head - I don't know if this is controversial or not, but to me, these beat the hell out of the Daytona on OF:

I also love the new PM speedy models but at that price, it seems crazy. They are gorgeous, especially that green dial. However, I never warmed to the look of rubber straps. Anyone have experience with the OF? Curious what people like/dislike? I can kind of see it on a diver but the logic of pairing rubber with a Daytona (especially a PM model) escapes me.

My Tudor Pelagos came with a rubber strap that I'm sure is high quality but just doesn't look right to me. Synthetics like the NATO or the cordura straps by Jean Rousseau for Speedmaster look better to my eye. For a diver worn in/around water you can't beat a NATO for extra security and a good look.

I haven’t read the Dirk Pitt books in decades. Forgot all about the Doxa connection.
I haven't either. My Dad traveled extensively to the far east and middle east when I was growing up and would burn through that era's espionage thrillers by the dozen. I started reading his leftovers as he finished them but haven't read one since the early 00's.

I remember the first handful being good but he wrote himself pretty quickly and they got silly.

I’m sure a large portion of those in line read stories like this and hoping to acquire one at launch to flip.

Human nature.
