Nothing earth shattering vis a vis the Exp II. All the rampant speculation was just that....speculation. Are others surprised by the relatively tame (imo) Rolex offerings?
Isn't the same complaint made about Rolex at this time every year?

I like both of the new Black Bay 58s. Don't like the silver dial BB36 though.
I’m really disappointed the green is in gold. My one ask was a green bb, but I assumed it would be in SS like the others. I really hate the gold and green combo. So bummed. I was ready to put down a deposit today for a green bb 58 but alas, I won’t be doing so. Totally bummed.

I'm usually not a chronograph fan, but the Tudor chrono intrigues me...
Gold BB58 would probably look great in person / on me, but not sure I want to spend 17K on a gold Tudor on a strap...

Not a big fan of the theme dials on the DJ36 models

Like that Rolex added bracelet versatility to a few of the models

The blue Omega Seamaster 300 Master Chronometer looks interesting

You might be right.

Don't get me wrong. No complaint on my end. This is the first year I actually paid attention to the pre-release hype, so am a neophyte in the Rolex "meeting expectations" realm. I guess I got duped by all the the Exp II ceramic bezel renderings

Really? I don't pay as much attention as some, but it's basically always more of the same, isn't it? New size for this one; new bracelet for that one; oooh look, different colour dials for those ones; will this one be getting a ceramic bezel no oh ok.
The new Sub and OP were pretty big. I’m not sure what you’re expecting. It’s not like Rolex is ever going to come out with a new sports line or a whole new watch.

.
Agree. And I'd argue releasing a two-tone Explorer is a pretty significant change.

I don't think you should ever expect Rolex to do anything horologically "wild". They are what they are, and they're really good at it.

Yeah. I'm not an expert on the history of past releases or anything of the sort, but that was the most surprising thing that Rolex did or didn't do.

I like the one with the taupe dial and bezel, but not interested if there is no bracelet option. The green and gold one is a big no from me, dawg. Agreed on the silver 36; looks kind of washed out/boring.

Yeah, they look pretty good. I don't own a chrono, though, and I think my first one would be either a Speedmaster or a Zenith Chronometer Sport (of course, that's 2x the price of the Tudor). As far as any planned purchase, though, they're way down the list.
