I would also go a little shorter.

Thanks, I'm kind of leaning that way too. But the only concern is that I only wait it a touch shorter, and it may be harder for the tailor to go such a small incremental amount shorter - would have been easier from the onset...

I'm not a tailor but I want to say that looks really. Where did you get it?

Thanks! Im glad it does as i really like the tailor's passion and personality, will probably go back for more!
I got it from Common Suits in Singapore :)

Looks really, really good! Enjoy your suit
No other feed back necessary

Thanks Despos! I only know the basics about suit fits but feels like i got my moneys worth when i read ur feedback :)

Did you do any trial fittings? And how much did it cost?
Is it 100% wool?

Yea its 100% Wool from dugsdale bro, new fine worsted. It does feel a little scratchier than the italian fabrics but i feel like it drapes better?

The owner usually does 1 trial basted fitting on dummy fabric but i had 2 done as my shoulder slope as well as shoulder length was uneven and he was not happy with the fit.

My fabric costs 1600sgd. Its a little pricey for Singapore but he sells VBC for 1200sgd if im not wrong.

one more request. again, I think I am generally happy with the coat. as you can see, I tend to tilt to the right, but I imagine I have to go bespoke to account for this peculiarity in posture (?) in addition, there seems to be excess fabric at the back, around the armhole area, but it does not strike me as drastic, and it allows me to move and cross my arms. my main concern is the closing. the front seems pretty symmetrical with buttons undone, but with buttons closed the closing buttons line seems to me to be nearer to the middle line than the decorative buttons line. somethings seems off with the front in general with the buttons closed.

thank you in advance for your suggestions.

Recently received this Cobra SC suit in the mail, caught on a pretty deep sale. Tired of the slim fit suit, so I wanted something a bit more "classic" fitting that I could dress down with some sleazy shirts and accessories. Pictured here with a slim fit dress shirt just to put the focus on the suit itself. Sorry for the distortion of the fabric from the camera, its a brown/black houndstooth, sort of catches the light weird.

I'm already planning to hem the pants, take the waist in a bit, and take in the seat to sort of round out the back. Need opinions on the jacket, sleeves look a little bunched in the back, not sure if its too small or if its something that a tailor could fix. FWIW the jacket is a 50, and I opted for this over the 52 due to the length of the body, and sleeves. Overall it feels comfortable, nothing is extremely tight, and my mobility is what it has always been while wearing a suit. Advice appreciated, as I am still in the exchange window.

EDIT: forgot to mention, I could also just size down on the trousers. These are a 32, there is a 30 available.

Hello,

The other day I saw an ad in Brioni's website that stated that it takes 22 hours to make a brioni suit

This got me thinking, to my understanding the average m2m suit takes 80 hours (from a good tailor), so what is the average time in the industry to make a suit? what would be the time taken by a high end brand (Brioni, Isaia, Belvest, etc) vs a mid entry (Brooks) or low cost made in china suit (theory, calvin klein)?

Just got an MTM jacket, and I'm probably going to ask for a remake. Any tips on what adjustments I should ask for? I know the waist is too tight, but I'm not sure how to fix the back. Plus I feel a lot of tightness around my shoulders and upper back.

Latest shirt and pant offerings from Luxire - any recommendations for next iteration?

Luxire recommended no changes to the shirt - but I would like to clean up some of the bunching around the midsection, but also don't want to reduce the fabric and make it uncomfortable tight..

I have this overcoat from Ring Jacket ripped at one seam at the lapel. Can this be easily repaired?

I am just starting to realize that maybe RTW shirts are the way to go... I find it hard to believe that you could not find a better fitting shirt off the rack than this. No offense, just trying to understand the point of MTM/ bespoke shirts if they end of looking just like RTW or even worse.

That's not remotely true for me.
