will do. one is a brown marled color, size 40, fits well. one is a size 42 grey marled, little big. the other is a red vneck in 40 which is actually very slim. also found a super thick red wool knit vneck from my grandfather's prep school days... no patch though

no maker's/size tag, but this thing is ******* solid.

I was never a cashmere fan, and I am *certainly* not a big timer, in any sense of the word. As I wrote in the other thread, cashemere is not rustic enough for my tastes. I vastly prefer the surface colors the heathered shetlands show - the same reason why I adore donegal tweed. Just look at these colors and tell me if they are boring:

At $125, those McGeorge shetlands are a great buy from O'connells' and will not dent your wallet like Ralph's cashmere. Irrespective of the cashmere lust that this forum has, those sweaters hold the ground on their own.

If you decide to buy any, please post what you bought

Indeed, I've been looking at the O'connells site. I just don't know if I should get a 36 or 38. The prices are quite reasonable (though if I were entirely price conscious, I would be stocking up on seersucker shirts and linen pants at this time of the year

I think you're definitely right about that.

I love Baron's vintage, Dewey's shetlands, and Vox's cowichan. Here are some vintage v's of mine, all of them thrifted over the past twenty yrs, except the camel lambswool, which was my dad's. Shamelessly stealing Baron's photo style, or trying to:

Edit: Oops, found another vintage v. Thought I'd given it away. Here it is w/ a shetland and an American rag shawl cardigan. (I posted some other pics of the cardigan on Streetwear's WAYWRN last winter):

Hand-knit cashmere? Interesting. How's the Todd & Duncan yarn that they use?

Soon as I opened the site first thing that popped out was the "unisex" cashmere sweater...

Shouldn't the cut of a man's sweater be different than a woman's for obvious reasons?

Yea but chunky handknits are loose fitting, so sizing is less critical.

"Unisex" sizing follows, or should follow standard men's sizing, so the word is usually fine for guys and bad news for women. In the case of sweaters, it means arms that are cut too long for women.
