I know this is a non-alden shell cordovan thread but I had to post these. In my previous posting on this thread I posted pics of my new shell AE Dundee Chukkas which were brand new and I had the great pleasure of breaking them in this past spring. Creating my own personalized rolls across the vamp.

Today my new Alden shell Chukkas (Color 8) arrived, brand new, so I again was able to break in the first rolls and it worked wonderfully. Fit my foot and weird broken toes perfectly. The process took about 15 minutes as I walked around the living room, on carpet, until the rolls created themselves. The fit was even better than the Dundees, more roomy (these are 13d).
And the new shell smell!!!

I'm not a Chukka guy, but those look really nice. Personally, I don't have a problem with you posting them here, and glad you did.
